Dakota grew up showing and raising cattle and hogs in western Kansas. He went to Hutchinson Community College and Kansas State University where he competed on successful livestock judging teams. Today, Dakota co-owns Reiss Livestock near Weskan, Kansas. With his wife, Kinzie, and three kids- Kree, Kannon, and Karoline. Dakota manages the operation’s 80 sows and 120 does. His father, Val, continues to raise show cattle as well.
