One word that best describes how you work: Always

Current Mobile Device:  iPhone 6

Current Computer: Dell XPS laptop and Dell XPS desktop

Current Camera:  Canon EOS Rebel T6s

First , tell us what you feel separates your business from other operations in the show pig business? We put a lot of emphasis on retaining and raising productive females and staying true to what we believe, not what is necessarily trendy.  Productiveness and effectiveness are key to keeping our farm running smoothly.

What websites, apps or tools can’t you live without? Why? Commodity reports, Showpig.com, and The Weather Channel app-although we’ve proven they can’t predict freezes and floods.  Bridgette uses the Gesdate app to keep everyone on track.

How do you keep your to-list? A small notepad and pen I carry in my pocket and screen shots/text messages to Bridgette.

Besides your phone and computer, what gadget can't you live without and why? GPS, iPad, mobile hotspot and a back-up phone battery

What do you listen to while you work? Smashing Pumpkins, Candlebox, CCR (the original), 90s Grunge list on Spotify

What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? I don’t know if we are better at it…but we aren’t afraid to just keep our heads down and work.

What's your secret? We never stop

What are you currently reading? Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller and Cotton Grower magazine

How do you recharge? Go to a beach with my family…preferably somewhere that doesn’t have cell phone service

What is your favorite and least-favorite chore? Favorite is cleaning pens because it gives me the time to stop and look at the pigs.  Least favorite has to be grinding feed and vaccinating with my wife.

How long does it take you to picture, sort and write a description for ONLY one pig in an online sale? Time depends upon how many dirty looks get exchanged between Bridgette and I.  Picturing pigs with a spouse isn’t for the faint of heart, but probably 20 minutes on average. Katey at showpig.com definitely helps make our life easier with her responsiveness and attention to detail.

Fill in the blank: I'd love to see __ Seth Swenson__ answer these same questions.

What's the best advice you've ever received? Do what works for you: Donald Love Don’t raise more than you can sell: Rory Duelm Your seedstock must be productive: Tom Farrer Design and balance is most important--make ‘em pretty: Dale Hummel
